What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year

The A6 sedan’s changes for 2023 are limited to a few new standard features in each of its trims.

Available Trims

Audi offers the A6 in Progressiv and Technik trims. Progressiv starts with a 45 numerical designation and a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine with mild hybrid assist. Optional in Progressiv and standard in Technik is a 3.0L mild hybrid V6 that comes with a 55 designation reflecting its additional performance. Both engines come with a seven-speed transmission and AWD.

Standard Features

Progressiv trim starts out with 19-inch wheels, heated/auto-dimming/power-folding side mirrors, LED headlights, a panoramic roof, and passive keyless entry. Inside, there are power front seats, three-zone A/C, a heated steering wheel with power adjustments, leather upholstery, an auto-dimming mirror, a power trunk, digital gauges, wireless phone charging, and ash wood trim. A 10.6-inch infotainment screen contains navigation, connected services, and wireless Apple CarPlay.

The A6’s driver assistance suite comprises city-speed collision mitigation, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and rear side airbags.

Technik trim adds upgraded headlights with washers, four-zone A/C, ventilated front seats, power door closers, rear sunshades, an upgraded stereo, and a head-up display. New this year is remote park assist; carried over from last year are top-view cameras, rear collision mitigation, active lane departure warning, traffic jam assist, road sign recognition, emergency/turn assists, and adaptive wipers.

Key Options

A Progressiv vorsprung edition package adds 20-inch wheels, top-view camera, front-seat lumbar, sport suspension, and rear window sunshades. A driver’s assistance package brings intersection and traffic jam assists, road sign recognition, adaptive cruise, turn and emergency assists, and active lane departure warning. You can also add upgraded LED headlights with washers as a stand-alone extra.

In Technik models, a contour seat package brings 14-way massaging front seats in upgraded leather, leather dash trim, and an air quality package. A dynamic package adds four-wheel steering.

Fuel Economy

Audi’s fuel consumption estimates are 10.0/7.5 L/100 km (city/highway) for the A6 45, and 11.1/7.8 L/100 km for the 55 powertrain.

Competition

With the A6, Audi faces off against the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Genesis G80, BMW 5 Series, Lexus ES, and Cadillac CT5.
